I am a director, designer and photographer living in Gainesville, Florida. I’m rarely prepared to write about myself, but here are three words to help sum me up:
1. Adventure
I was born in a jungle, carried around in a basket and have been exploring ever since. One of my greatest memories is the time I lived with my wife and dog in a self-converted camper van we called Howl. I spend my free time driving down old Florida back roads and documenting those experiences in my blog.
2. Design
When I was a kid, I wanted to be an artist. As I got older, I realized my ultimate passion is to use art to tell stories and solve problems. Enter the world of design. I believe good design is more than making things look artistically good. Good design solves problems. It considers people. It generates empathy and creates connections between people and brands, products and users. It tells stories, builds trust and changes the world. But, of course, it’s also nice when it looks good.
3. People
Over the past few years I've had the privilege of leading creative teams. Through this experience, I've come to realize that people are everything. My empathy and developer strengths allow me to authentically connect with people and help them grow, and that has made all the difference.
My proudest achievement is when I became a dad. Parenting has truly been the epitome of these three words.
